V2Ray (and its Xray fork) wraps your traffic inside ordinary-looking WebSocket-over-TLS connections on port 443 β the same port normal HTTPS websites use. Because it does not look like a classic VPN, it often keeps working on networks where VPN ports are slowed down or blocked.
How a free V2Ray configuration works here
- Choose a server and create a V2Ray configuration.
- You get a VLESS connection link and a QR code.
- Import it into a V2Ray app with one tap and connect.
Recommended apps
- Android: v2rayNG β + β Scan QR code or Import config from clipboard.
- iPhone / iPad: Shadowrocket, Streisand or V2Box.
- Windows: v2rayN. macOS: V2Box.
If it does not connect
- Make sure your device's date and time are automatic β TLS is refused when the clock is wrong.
- Copy the whole link, including everything after
vless://. - Try another server location; networks treat each address differently.
No VPN can promise to work on every network, but V2Ray is usually the first thing to try when WireGuard, OpenVPN and L2TP are blocked.
